Ideal candidate

The ideal learning provider for Langden Knowsley is someone with a business-related degree, preferably a business-related master’s degree, and at least 10 years of experience as a business consultant or corporate trainer. They should be specialists rather than generalists, and should have a unique program proposition that differs from what Langden Knowsley already provides. They should also have proven the program concept they propose to provide. They should have reached a point where they are achieving as much as they can by charging for their time, both financially for themselves and in terms of the value proposition they provide their clients.

The next natural step is to scale up, and to do this, they need to package what they do as a corporate training program, to move away from charging for their time. Their program will be developed in a self-study format, enabling it to be implemented by others. This enables them to service hundreds of clients rather than only a handful. It is the difference between earning several hundred thousand dollars annually and several million. If this sounds like you, becoming a learning provider at Langden Knowsley should feel like a light coming on. If this light comes on, book an appointment with a Vice President of Corporate Training, enabling them to evaluate and assess your unique program proposition.

Disclaimer: Langden Knowsley is not a recruitment company. We do not employ learning providers or consultants. They are independent practitioners who have already established their own independent learning or consulting businesses. LK is a professional service provider, and costs will be incurred for the services provided. Please refer to the Investment Return section for further information.

Program objective

The Process Learning Provider service is a corporate training program specifically designed for established consultants and learning providers who have reached the limit of what they can achieve by charging for their time. The next natural step is to package their core skills and experience into a standard corporate training program that can be implemented by other consultants. This is what enables them to move away from charging for their time. This is what enables them to scale up.

The core objective of the program is to enable learning providers to research and develop a unique program proposition based on their core skills and experience, in collaboration with client partners from their intended market. It enables learning providers to earn income while creating and testing their programs and provides them with confidence in the viability of their program and the value proposition they are creating. Post-qualification, learning providers can scale up, serving many more client companies and generating much more income by outsourcing program implementation to LK consultants. Consultants can facilitate the implementation of programs in multiple languages and within most locations worldwide.

Learning providers test their programs with 5 client partners, each paying between $5k/mo or $60k/yr to $10k/mo or $120k/yr, returning an annual income of between $300k to $600k while the program is being created and tested. Post-qualification, learning providers can scale up to serve hundreds of clients rather than a handful, since they no longer charge for their time. They are charging tuition fees for corporate training programs implemented by LK consultants.

LK is a full-service provider. We do not just provide assistance with program research and development. We provide business development and lead generation services to secure clients and the operational consultants needed to implement your program in multiple languages worldwide. You can find everything you need in one place at LK, reducing business growth risks as you scale up.

Seeing is believing

If clients can’t see what they are being asked to buy, they can only make a decision based on faith. This is why Langden Knowsley packages their services as corporate training programs. Clients can review detailed program information guides that include an executive summary, methodology, curriculum, program objectives, introductions to each workshop, and client testimonials. Clients can also see examples of monthly workshops. They know how much the programs cost, how long they take to implement, and how they can measure value. We also offer hundreds of highly specialized corporate training programs covering a variety of subjects. This makes the decision-making process straightforward for clients, as they can see and understand precisely what they are being asked to buy.

The more choices we have, the better decisions we make. LK offers hundreds of corporate training programs, each featuring a unique program proposition that sets it apart from the others. This makes it easy for clients to quickly identify precisely what they are looking for. It also enables them to put round pegs in round holes. Once clients have successfully implemented one program and understand how the processes work, they will be interested in other programs in other subjects. Over 50% of LK’s business comes from existing customers purchasing additional programs and services. This significantly reduces acquisition costs and improves customer satisfaction.

Work from home

All learning providers work from home because their programs are delivered virtually or on clients’ premises by LK consultants. No travel is required. Learning providers provide LK consultants with ongoing support through the client support portal and continuously improve their programs in response to client feedback. The majority of successful learning providers will go on to develop a portfolio of programs featuring a common theme.

There are many intuitive people in the world, constantly developing new ideas for corporate training programs. But how do we know whether clients will want to purchase them, and whether the programs will work in practice? We only consider process learning providers with at least 10 years of experience implementing their unique program proposition. They must have proven the concept of what they do. Their programs are then researched and developed with prospective clients, ensuring they are designed as clients would want. When a learning provider qualifies as a PLP, their program has been tried and tested. We also have testimonials from clients who have implemented it. Clients complete detailed questionnaires about the quality of each workshop and suggest recommendations for improvement. Consultants who implement the programs do the same. This feedback helps ensure our programs continue to improve.

Each program a client purchases represents a new process implemented internally within their organization. This makes it very easy for clients to measure value. It also indicates that LK programs typically yield a significant return on investment. Knowledge is power, and we will always learn something from any training program we participate in. But can we say we always implement what we learn? LK corporate training programs integrate academic theory through workshops and case studies, leading to the implementation of processes and continuous improvement.

Business model

Langden Knowsley’s business model is built on the strong foundation of process and is driven by scale. Our programs represent tangible products that clients can see and understand. Each program features a unique proposition, distinct from others, providing clients with hundreds of options. All of the programs are process-driven, and project studies are used to ensure clients have implemented each part of the process before moving on to the next monthly workshop. This is how clients measure value. Learning providers create and continuously improve programs. Consultants facilitate the implementation of program workshops within multiple languages worldwide.

With the LK business model, learning providers develop programs in partnership with clients and earn income during development. This model allows them to move beyond hourly billing and scale their reach to hundreds of clients, creating greater income potential and delivering more robust, valuable services.

A company can do a lot worse than build its processes through LK programs. Processes have time to grow, establish, and improve. These processes can touch every department and every aspect of their business. They branch out from a strong core and structure. The more processes the business has, the stronger the company. When storms inevitably come, the company will be better positioned to weather them. Once again, this enables the company to gain greater competitive advantage, market share, and security, all of which amount to progress. If you look at the trunk of a tree several hundred or thousands of years old, the rings of life tell an interesting story when measured against the tree’s history. Processes represent a company’s rings of life.

Investment return

The Process Learning Provider program costs $5k. Learning providers pay $2.5k to reserve their positions once their applications are approved. The remaining $2.5k is payable 30 days prior to each program start date. LK also charges a 10% service fee on all income generated from learning provider programs. LK is a full-service provider offering content development, video creation, business development, lead generation, and client support, all available upon request. LK’s responsibility is to ensure it has the resources available if learning providers choose to outsource tasks. Additional services are available at an additional cost, but everything is optional; learning providers can choose what to do themselves and what to outsource, and these costs can be recovered from client income during the program. As such, the only mandatory cost to budget for in advance is the program tuition fee. Everything else is optional, and learning providers remain in control of their budgets.

Learning providers test their programs with 5 client partners, each paying between $5k/mo or $60k/yr to $10k/mo or $120k/yr returning an annual income of between $300k to $600k while the program is being created and tested. Post-qualification, learning providers can scale up to serve hundreds of clients rather than a handful, since they no longer charge for their time. They are charging tuition fees for corporate training programs implemented by LK consultants. All of our learning providers are different. We have learning providers who would prefer to do as much as they can themselves. Conversely, our more entrepreneurial learning providers may already have established corporate training practices and will be developing multiple programs through LK. These learning providers will want to outsource as much as possible, and LK needs the resources to do so. Regardless of how learning providers choose to operate, the return on investment remains significant because PLP enables scaling up.

An established consultant or learning provider earning between $250k and $500k annually by charging for their time can easily earn between $1m and $5m annually if their core skills and experience are transferable. They just need to package their offering so others can implement it. LK has the services and the resources to help make this happen.

Customer support

Customer support is the cornerstone of any good service or program. They are only as good as the support that comes with them. Support needs to be available at the precise time that we need it, not several days or weeks later, but can we realistically expect to have our own personal support agent available 24/7 for us to use without incurring any costs? Fortunately, technology is now making this dream a reality. Over 80% of customer support is now handled by AI within most support platforms. The remaining 20% can then be escalated to live support agents.

LK takes this one step further. We use live AI Avatar Agents to provide first-line customer support. Rather than having to type your questions and receive answers in text from faceless AI bots, LK uses lifelike live Avatars that you can simply talk to and have a conversation with. You can ask them questions, and they will answer them instantly. They are available to you 24/7, and you can communicate with them in multiple languages. Conversations are not recorded or transcribed, so your privacy and security are protected at all times, and they comply with GDPR regulations. They are fun to use and available whenever you need them. Customer support is available as and when you need it, provided in a human way. We take time to train the Live Avatars and continuously update them. If they do not have the right answer to your question, they will tell you so; they will not adlib. This question will then be escalated to the client support portal, where your query will be registered in a ticketing system. Once your query is answered, the answer will be added to the Live Avatar database for future reference. This will address approximately 80% of your support needs.

Second-line customer support is provided by our client support portal. An annual support license is required for this service, as it uses third-party software, and it costs a nominal $250.00/yr. This is a sophisticated state-of-the-art support platform that enables queries to be escalated and is particularly useful for content that needs to be evaluated and assessed. It enables you to communicate directly with PLP program managers, marketing agents, professional content editors, video development specialists, client managers, marketing campaign managers, and much more. This understandably takes longer because a human agent will need to evaluate and assess what you have created, provide recommendations for improvement, or recommend what you need to do next. We usually respond within 5 business days, but during busy periods it can take up to 15 business days, so please allow for this. The portal retains copies of all human support provided for future reference in your LK support file. This will address the remaining 20% of your support needs.

But what if you just want to talk to a real, live person? Well, you can do this whenever you want to. You will have a designated LK Vice President of Corporate Training assigned to you, who will oversee and manage your progress to ensure you get from A to B. You can discuss things with them personally whenever you need to, either by phone or via Google Meet. LK charges $125.00 for a 20-minute meeting with an LK Vice President of Corporate Training because we need to pay for their time, much as when you have a meeting with a doctor, physician, accountant, or attorney. However, these meetings can help consolidate your understanding and interpretation, and they are available to you when you need them.

When you need support, use the first-line customer support option: chat with your Live Avatar Support Agent. They will be able to answer 80% of your support queries, and it does not cost anything. If you cannot obtain the right answer or need someone to evaluate and assess your content, then use the second-line customer support option by opening a ticket in your live agent support portal. This will address the remaining 20% of your support requirements. Finally, if you feel you need more personal support, you can request a meeting with your LK Vice President of Corporate Training whenever you want, but at an additional cost, as you are using someone’s time.

Lead generation

You have a strong, unique program, presented professionally, with high-quality content. But where will your clients come from? This is a key reason many learning providers choose LK. You may handle your own marketing, but most rely on LK’s marketing and lead-generation services. If you prefer to outsource, you don’t need to do any business development or marketing. About 50% of LK’s business comes from existing clients. When they complete one program, they often want more, and we offer hundreds. We don’t send individual program promotions to clients to avoid spamming them. Instead, we send one monthly news email with links to new programs. This builds awareness and credibility and generates business through passive marketing. To quickly build a full client portfolio, learning providers must be more proactive.

LK has five marketing departments, each focused on a specific channel. LK runs thousands of marketing campaigns each year, including media publishing, press releases, lead generation, PPC campaigns, and client prospecting. Remember, you do not need to develop your entire program before we can start marketing. All that we need is for your Program Information Guide and your 1st monthly workshop to be approved and published. We want to start marketing your program as soon as possible because your client partners are an integral part of program development, enabling you to earn significant income while you learn and develop your program. All marketing programs are subject to ongoing availability.

Media publishing

Media publishing provides approximately 5% of our clients. This is effectively a Search Engine Optimization service. We republish the program information guide you published on Langden Knowsley’s website by creating a standalone website for your program, featuring unique content and backlinks to enhance performance. We then use Yoast SEO Premium to ensure your program is indexed for specific search terms likely to be used by your prospective clients.

You can see some examples here:

Customer Experience
Enlightened Leadership
AI Strategy
Emotional Intelligence
Achieving Net Zero

The service is relatively inexpensive at $1,250/yr, and it does contribute 5% of your clients. We recommend that all new learning providers subscribe to this marketing service.

Press releases

Press releases provide approximately 9% of our clients. They are a terrific way of improving your program’s brand and credibility. What we do is create a press release focused exclusively on your unique program proposition, incorporating links to your Langden Knowsley program web page and your Media Publishing webpage, if you have one. These press releases are then published and syndicated through hundreds of popular online media outlets, traditional media websites, and special interest magazines. These press releases are also syndicated and republished by independent businesses and news journalists. You can see some examples by clicking PRESS on the LK website top bar menu.

The service is relatively inexpensive at $510 per press release, and it does contribute 9% of your clients. We recommend that all new learning providers book at least 1 press release to get started, or ideally 4 quarterly press releases, to ensure their program is always in the news.

Lead generation

Lead generation provides approximately 23% of our clients. This service is the jewel in the crown and is the most direct marketing service LK provides. Email marketing is still the No. 1 direct marketing tool available to us, and contributes the majority of our clients’ new business and ours, too. For it to be effective, it needs to be done properly. At LK, we target prospects specifically for each unique program proposition, target market, industry, and location, and we also ensure that your prospects have opted in to receive emails about LK and your unique program proposition. This does take time, but the success of your lead generation campaign will depend almost entirely on the quality of the prospects we use. The rest depends upon good delivery, and LK’s high-quality email domains, mailboxes, and sophisticated software ensure that our emails end up in the recipient’s inbox, not their spam folder. LK runs thousands of lead generation campaigns every year on behalf of our learning providers, and this remains the quickest and most reliable tool for creating new business.

The service is understandably more expensive at $5k per campaign, but it does contribute 23% of your clients. We recommend that all new learning providers book at least 1 Lead Generation campaign to get started, or ideally 4 quarterly Lead Generation campaigns, if they want to scale up quickly.

PPC campaigns

PPC campaigns provide approximately 8% of our clients. This service includes pay-per-click campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You usually bid an amount per click, which lets you compete for high-value searches. Our clients report achieving 50% of their new business through PPC campaigns, and we have seen strong results at LK, too. However, it is expensive, and success can take time to establish. You can see examples of this service in the paid results section of paid search, either on Google, Bing, LinkedIn, or Facebook.

The service is by far the most expensive option at $10k per campaign, but it contributes 8% of your clients, which is why it is still on the list. We recommend that any new learning providers on a limited budget avoid using this service, as it can be very hit-and-miss at the start. However, most qualified learning providers run 4 quarterly PPC campaigns to grow their client base. If a learning provider is already part of an established corporate training company and has the budget available, PPC campaigns can be a useful way to target specific interest groups.

Client prospecting

Client prospecting provides approximately 5% of our clients. This is a very unusual service and is not often provided by other marketing companies. Put simply, you provide us with a list of clients you would like to work with, and we go and get them for you, or at least we try. You provide the contact names and company websites for the people and companies you would like to contact, and we use a multi-channel approach to establish contact and arrange appointments. It is a useful service for learning providers who want to cherry-pick their clients, ensure they have some multinational tier 1 clients in their portfolio, or whose target market is very niche. We are achieving a lot of success with this service now, but it is difficult to predict. There are massive swings in success depending upon each individual unique program proposition, but we still have it on the list because it does work overall.

The service is expensive because you’re paying by the hour for our prospecting heroes’ time, and pricing is available upon request. We recommend that learning providers only consider this service when they are established and qualified. The service still contributes approximately 5% of our business, and that is why it is featured here.

Lead Generation Summary

Remember, these service performance estimates only add up to 50% because LK receives 50% of its business from current clients. But new learning providers will need to invest in marketing to directly promote their programs through LK. The performance percentages quoted above for each marketing channel will naturally double if we exclude current clients and consider business from them a bonus. We strongly recommend that learning providers invest in at least one Lead Generation campaign and, eventually, in all 5 marketing channels, as each contributes new business and delivers a return on investment.

Remember, all of our learning providers are different, and we try to cater to all of them. If you are an established corporate training company developing multiple programs through LK and you want to hit the ground running, then we can accommodate you. Similarly, if you are a sole practitioner on a limited budget, do not worry; you can still afford the Media Publishing and Press Release service, and these are really productive and cost-effective ways to start. If you can afford to book at least 1 Lead Generation campaign, it will provide you with the initial direct marketing boost you need, and you can consider other marketing services when you are more established. If you have a limited budget, you just need to accept that it might take you longer to get established, but you can still get there. Just do whatever you feel comfortable with and never overreach.

Disclaimer: Remember all LK programs are different and feature unique program propositions that are different from any other program, so marketing campaigns will always perform differently with each program. Not only are the programs different, but their markets, industries, and locations are too. This is why LK relies on global performance data that incorporates all programs, and this is where our performance estimates are obtained. Success will always be determined by third-party clients’ interest in your unique program proposition, and as such, LK cannot and does not guarantee success. What we can promise is that the services ordered will be provided. With marketing, the more shots at goal you have, the more goals you will score.

Continuous improvement

LK monthly program workshops take 6 hours to complete. We allow 8 hours, including 1 hour for lunch and 2 30-minute coffee breaks. These workshops are divided into 12 30-minute course modules, each featuring training content, case studies, and group exercises. The programs are timed, thoroughly researched, and developed, and are continuously improved in response to client and consultant feedback. Nobody turns up to the client’s premises without knowing precisely what to do. The result is a professional workshop that runs like a Rolls-Royce. All workshops are planned, developed, implemented, managed, and reviewed as an integral part of the continuous improvement process. This ensures participants have confidence in the programs and processes, enabling them to focus on the tasks at hand and maximize the learning experience.

We also ask clients to complete detailed questionnaires after each monthly workshop, detailing what worked well and what didn’t. We ask them to provide recommendations for improvement and to keep the program relevant and up-to-date. We also ask them to provide feedback on the performance of the LK consultants implementing the program. We also ask LK consultants to provide feedback relating to how they found each program workshop to implement. All this feedback is returned to the learning provider for continuous improvement. Any program or service is out of date the moment it is published. It is therefore imperative that all programs and services are continuously improved to provide a sustainable value proposition to clients.

Time management

So, how long does everything take?

Application process

We take great care to ensure we evaluate and select the right learning providers. This is understandably as much in your interests as it is ours. We provide detailed information about this opportunity, along with plenty of program examples, available resources, and a Live Avatar where you can ask questions and clarify your understanding and interpretation. Once you have established your interest, you should book your appointment with an LK Vice President of Corporate Training, as it can take 2-4 weeks to secure an available appointment. Then you need to research and develop an outline plan for your unique program position, which should take you an hour or two, and then forward this to us 30 minutes before your appointment. If the Vice President of Corporate Training confirms they are happy to personally recommend your application for consideration by the Evaluation & Selection Board, then you will need to complete a PLP Application Form, which incorporates our terms and conditions of service. You then need to wait for the Evaluation & Selection Board meeting before you find out whether your application has been approved. If it has, you will have 7 days to process at least 50% of your tuition fee payment to reserve your position in the program. Your position will then be reserved for the start date you requested in your application form. The whole process usually takes approximately 4 weeks.

PLP program

Your program will be activated on your proposed program start date. You will receive an email explaining what you need to do and providing you with access to the first part of the program. You will also be offered a complimentary meeting with your LK Vice President of Corporate Training to clarify your understanding and interpretation of where to start and what to do next. It typically takes approximately 5 days to research and develop your program information guide, but we allow a month for this, because learning providers usually have other commitments they need to work around. It then takes approximately 10 days to research and develop your first monthly program workshop. Once again, we allow a month for this. In both cases, you will be provided with detailed instructions on what you need to do, online applications where you can save your content, and examples of program information guides and workshops that other learning providers have developed. Please refer to the support section to understand the three levels of support available to you. We can then usually start marketing and engaging clients from month three onwards. So, this means you can usually start earning income from month three onwards as well. How long it takes to establish all your client partners will depend on how much marketing you undertake. Learning providers earn between $5k/mo and $10k/mo for each client partner during the program development phase, or between $60k and $120k annually. Learning providers should therefore be earning at least $300k annually during the program development phase.

If you are doing everything yourself, then you will need to plan 10 days every month to research each monthly workshop, plus 5 days per month to test your workshop with client partners, but remember you always have the option of outsourcing the research and development of your monthly workshops to LK content research editors, at additional cost, and you always have the option of outsourcing the implementation of your monthly workshops to LK consultants, free of charge. LK consultants charge clients separate hourly fees for their time, and learning providers earn a 10% service fee on these. If you are developing a 1-year program with 12 x 6-hour monthly workshops, it typically takes 1-2 years to qualify. We can then scale up. Post-qualification, you can put our learning providers into one of three categories. The first category (30%) is happy maintaining a portfolio of 10 clients earning between $600k and $1.2m annually. Work-life balance becomes important to them at this time. The second category (30%) reaches the same conclusion after building a portfolio of 20 clients earning between $1.2m and $2.4m annually. The final category (40%) is corporate training companies. They want to take things as far as they can and typically service hundreds of clients.

Appointment preparation

Review this program information guide in detail. Watch all of the videos. Read some of the client reviews provided. Use the AI Live Avatar to ask any questions you would like to and to clarify your understanding and interpretation. It should be easy for you to rule out Langden Knowsley if we are not a good fit, because we are very specific about what we do. If you decide this opportunity is for you, then review all of the current programs listed under SOLUTIONS and determine whether you have a unique program proposition that could be different from any of the current programs provided.

If you have, think of a program title (two words only), that does what it says on the tin. Make a list of 12 monthly workshop titles (two words only), and rearrange them in sequential order. Then write approximately three paragraphs under each of the 12 monthly workshop headings, explaining what the core objective of each workshop would be. This should only take you about an hour, but it will achieve two things. Firstly, you will have a complete outline plan for the corporate training program you will be developing through LK.

Secondly, you will be providing sufficient information for your Vice President of Corporate Training to determine whether they can personally recommend your program for consideration by the evaluation and selection board. Send your unique program proposition to Langden Knowsley either by completing your online UPP Form attached to this guide, or in a PDF file attached to the UPP form, or as an attachment to your email. Ideally, we should receive this approximately 30 minutes prior to your appointment with a Vice President of Corporate Training. Take a look at some of the PROGRAM EXAMPLES provided above, and look at the Curriculum and Program Objectives in each case. This will provide you with examples of precisely what you need to provide.
