About Us

Our story began 24 years ago, when two University Professors decided to partner to provide process-driven corporate training programs.

Both Langden and Knowsley were lifelong academics who sought to make theoretical programs more practical. They had also consulted independently and learned how difficult it was to explain what they did in a way clients understood.

To solve both problems, they concluded they needed to package their offerings so clients could see what they were being asked to buy. In their case, the package was always going to be a corporate training program.

Their value proposition was the practical integration of academic theory into the qualification process. This was achieved by transitioning from traditional academic project studies to process-driven project studies.

The programs were delivered over a sustainable period of 1 to 5 years, giving clients time to implement each part of the process before moving on to the next workshop.

They tested their programs with their own clients, ensuring the programs were developed as clients wanted.

Langden and Knowsley worked as a partnership for 10 years before retiring. The company was then acquired by 7 new partners, who ran the company as a private partnership for a further 13 years under the same name.

Langden and Knowsley (LK) was finally incorporated in 2025 and still operates under the same name.

Today, we still consider LK to be a small professional company. We employ the services of several hundred independent learning and consulting providers who, together, serve clients across most major locations worldwide in multiple languages.

As technology has advanced, we have transformed into an entirely virtual company, with no physical offices and employees working remotely from their homes.

This has helped reduce fixed costs and ensure all costs are variable, while improving the work-life balance for our employees, consultants, and learning providers.

The future, as always, will be determined by market demand, both from our clients and from our consulting and learning providers.

We are a full-service provider with the resources to offer clients hundreds of unique program and service propositions that remain process-driven.

We also have the resources to provide our consultants and learning providers with any assistance they may need. We manage the quality of all work undertaken independently and implement an ongoing continuous improvement program.

When Langden and Knowsley first started, all of their programs were business-oriented. Now we have Doctors, Chemists, Physicians, Pilots, Veterans, Accountants, Lawyers, all kinds of interesting people creating and promoting their programs with LK.

It never ceases to amaze us just how many intuitive people there are in the world, the ideas they come up with for new, unique programs, and the commitment they have to them.

This is what makes LK so worthwhile.
